ABOUT US

Kidz Place Early Learning Centre was the first private Preschool in the Hills District and opened its doors in 1943. A Long Day Care Nursery centre was added over 20 years ago and Kidz Place ELC is currently licensed for 45 children per day. 

 

As a small family owned childcare facility we enjoy getting to know our children and their families personally and aim to provide a real home-away-from-home environment. Our motto is "your extended family". Kidz Place has two separate buildings, the Mainhouse which houses our 0-3 year old rooms and the Preschool which houses our 3-5 year old rooms.
 

The Mainhouse

The Mainhouse has two separate aged rooms. Buzzy Bees (0-2 years old) and our Curious Caterpillars (2-3 years old). Both rooms provide a homely and comforting environment for all children. The centre's kitchen and administration office are located in this building.

The Preschool

The Preschool is our purpose-built open plan classroom for our 3-4 year old Zebras Room and our 4-5 year old Giraffes Room. These rooms come together at some stages throughout the day, however, they are predominately separated to provide age appropriate learning spaces and activities.

Our Natural Backyard

Kidz Place ELC is set within beautiful, naturally shaded gardens providing the children with protection from our harsh Australian sun.  Much of the ground in our backyard is covered with a soft fall covering.

Our back garden incorporates a recycled music wall, dinosaur garden with three large dinosaur statues and a sculpture/chiselling table, cubby house, sand pit and mud patch with a mud kitchen. Our garden encourages healthy outdoor play.  Our veggie garden helps teach the children about healthy nutrition and gardening.  Most importantly, our garden with its natural resources, provides a large grassed, shady area with plenty of space for the children to run and explore.
